Frozen Borderline
Featuring Jeff Prokash, Kyle Nilan, and Danny Floyd
Curated by the artists for Ballroom Projects Mar. 29-Apr. 8, 2014
Frozen Borderline explores sensory articulations of the built environment not only through the literal, planar logic of architectural settings, but also though affinities created by objects in proximity that serve as models of sociability. The works focus on the attenuated interface between physical, social and conceptual spaces and their ability inform our activity, contemplation, or historical trajectory, particularly in the case of an installation by Prokash which features windows collected from the contentiously demolished Prentice Women’s Hospital designed by iconic architect Bertrand Goldberg.
