Valentina Zamfirescu repeats shapes according to games of chance, found data, and personal history. In Siblings, Zamfirescu (an only child), cuts life-size silhouettes of her own form at age three. These faceless figures are delivered and stacked until an ideal birth weight of 7.5 lbs is attained. Conceived and cut, these figures recall brothers and sisters that are at once lost and imagined.
